In The Secret Life of Pets, a dog named Max goes on an adventure as he learns to get along with his new brother Duke. Max is used to getting all of the attention from his owner Emily, which is why Duke causes a stir in the otherwise peaceful owner-pet relationship. In a sneek peak into the daily life of a pet, Max and Duke eventually find themselves lost in the city of Manhattan.
As a pet, Max is used to hanging out with his other pet friends, but now lost, he discovers many new types of animals. After a while, a neighboring pet, Gidget, notices that Max and Duke have gone missing and makes it her job to look for them. Both groups of runaways encounter a rebellious group of animals that fight againts humans because they were all abandoned by people and feel unwanted. Throughout their journey, Max and Duke learn to grow closer and work together as brothers.
I think that this is a good movie that is both entertaining and funny. This film is very interesting as it opens us up to the imagination of others about what pets really do when they are left alone. Viewers see many fun and contrasting pet personalities that provide good entertainment for all. Overall, the production of the movie was well done and the plot kept the movie interesting.
